Rojos Bakery
Hi! I'm Ro Calderoni, Pastry Chef and owner of Rojos Bakery.

I was born in El Salvador, and for several years I worked in Marketing for the airline industry, traveling and meeting people from different cultures around the world...Those experiences exposed me to a diversity of nature, arts, design, and most of all, Food! I just loved it!!!

When my first son was born, I decided to pursue my dream in the culinary world and learn Classic European Pastry from the best! I got my "Diplôme de Pâtisserie" from Le Cordon Bleu and then learned decoration skills from internationally renowned Cake Designers like Ron Ben-Israel, Colette Peters, Ana Ruiz, Debbie Brown, Lauren Kitchens, James Roselle, Sachiko Windbiel, and more. What had been only a hobby for many years became my new career.

I founded Rojos in 2011 when I lived in Mexico City. A couple of years later, we all moved to California to a beautiful little town, an amazing community, to raise our 3 boys.

In 2017 I started my licensed business as a "Cottage Food Operation" in La Cañada Flintridge California.

And in 2022 we came to Coral Gables, Florida and are proud to announce that Rojos Bakery is the first ever Cottage Food Operation approved in the City Beautiful.
